After approximately two hours (and with only a few
sips of water left in our bottle) we spotted a pathway leading further down on to the road upon which we were walking, and over the other side of the road it appeared to continue towards the only indication of a town that we could see a long way off into the distance.

The scenery was spectacular, the challenges varied and there was no shortage
of fellow runners around you willing to help you out when asked (like all those lovely people who let me
sip their
water when I had none
left).
But these insects also like to
sip the
water that plants push out
of their
leaves.
My current recipe is a handful
of dried hibiscus flowers in 8 cups
of water with a penny sized chunk
of fresh ginger root, handful
of fresh mint
leaves, teaspoon
of amla and erythritol to taste (3 tablespoons for me)-- all blended up in a high speed blender and then
sipped throughout the day.
You can either chew on fresh mint
leaves directly, or boil a teaspoon
of dried mint
leaves in a cup
of water and
sip on the mixture slowly for as long as you want.
Who
leaves the last
sip in every glass
of water.
The wail
of that ubiquitous island ambassador, Bob Marley, seemed to be coming from every bar and cafe, whose stools overflowed with a sunburned masses gazing at the cerulean
water,
leafing through guidebooks and
sipping Bintang beers.
