Carrier Safety Improvement Act
of 1999 to exempt from federal maximum driving and on - duty time requirements drivers
of trucks transporting construction materials and equipment to or from an active construction
site within a 75 (currently, 50)
air mile radius
of the driver's normal work reporting location.
