Cover with plenty
of water again, add 1 teaspoon bicarbonate
of soda, bring to a boil and cook, covered, until the
chickpeas are really really soft, it will take more than one hour, depending on
size and age
of the
chickpeas.
Although it contains
chickpeas, these are allowed on the low FODMAP diet up to a serving
size of 42g (according to the Monash app).
Add the water drained from the can
of chickpeas into a large bowl and use an electric hand - held or stand mixer to whisk for approximately 5 minutes until it's more than doubled in
size, white and foamy.

The
chickpeas will expand to over double their
size, so make sure you cover by several inches
of water to allow for expansion.
The green Mash 400 gr (a tin) pre-cooked
chickpeas 1 medium

I changed the dressing to be much more flavorful, added in
chickpeas for more protein and tossed in some arugula to make it more
of a meal -
