How are
books handled that contain
different sizes of font?
Books come in a variety
of different sizes and dimensions that vary depending on the type
of book you're writing.
I've put some
of my
books on Kindle and I've found that if I have it on CreateSpace and request it to be added to Kindle it works very well if the
size is converted to one
of theirs, but there are big problems if I choose a
different size for the paper
book, especially with captions for photographs as they appeared embedded in the text and not near the photo, and I needed to pay to have it rectified.
And the dimensions
of the print
book cover will be
different for every
book — they're calculated based on how many pages there are in your
book and the trim
size you've chosen.
So don't focus on making several
book covers
of drastically
different size (which will look strange, and you'd have to move all the elements around and it would still look funny).
E-Ink display: The display on the screen using E-Ink enhances clarity and the changeable font
size gives it the feel
of a real
book, very
different from looking at a computer screen.
Most
of the time due to page
size and screen
size the ebook page numbers might be
different from the printed version
of the
book.
Absolute page numbers would be used to refer to a particular portion
of a
book in a way that would be consistent on
