However, in my opinion, the Appeals Commission
adjudicators are sufficiently experienced and
skilled so that the fact that a party is self - represented does not impact the provision
of a fair hearing.
In another discussion, a bencher colleague raised the same issue worrying that the nature
of discipline adjudication could suffer by the use
of those
skilled as
adjudicators rather than by those elected by, knowledgeable about, and supportive
of, the profession.
