While American companies fear losing access to international talent, Canadian firms have recognized an opportunity to recruit highly
skilled workers owing to the country's favourable position on immigration.

skills development at the Chamber of Mines (CoM) in South Africa, the industry is facing a serious
skills shortage among miners
owing to the time it takes to train a
worker and the unavailability of good lecturers and facilitators.
