For light snacks I use the hot cast - iron
skillet method for «bar» style pizzas on the Serious Eats website.
+
Hot skillet method: this is the frittata I'm choosing to share because the texture is consistent, and you don't have to worry about getting a slice with no eggs underneath bc there are fun air bubbles everywhere... preheat your oven to 400 F to start.
+
Cold skillet method: this frittata is not picture, but I will tell you about it just for fun.
Although the grill method is healthier I prefer
the skillet method for a truly crispy skin.
It probably takes as much effort as
the skillet method, but for me it's more of a passive activity — they won't burn or overcook.
(
The skillet method is 1000x better.)
- You could also use the asparagus, kale and mushroom combination on a pizza without using
the skillet method - Do what works for you!
You can read
the skillet method in - depth here.
I used
the skillet method but plan to try the oven method the next time I make it.
I have explained each step in details and have
the skillet method, fire roasted kind and also cooked completely on the skillet and also the oven method.
I was the same way until just recently, but now that I've tried baking mushrooms, I don't think I'll ever go back to
the skillet method.
