slash aspect of the game quite in - depth and not once did I feel out of place
while playing this
title.
I want to stress again that I have no hate against this game and that all of my complaints could be easily thrown at other AAA hack and
slash titles, but the reason I don't go writing about all of them is because they stay in their little spot in the genre (God of War, Dante's Inferno, Castlevania LoS, & Darksiders to an extent)
while DMC has always been over with games like Ninja Gaiden or Bayonetta.
It was a hack and
slash RPG that gave players yearning for more Diablo something to bide their time
while great
titles came out to refresh the genre.
First up is History, which discusses what it means to be a Shinobi
title, rather than just a ninja hack and
slash, and how you go about modernizing the game
while still keeping the core mechanics and classic appeal.
While this particular
title has changed considerably since it's fist announcement, Platinum Games have taken into their stride and done with it what they know best; straight up fast and frantic hack and
slash action, which seems a perfect fit for the cyborg dominated future setting.
The combat is reminiscent of
titles such as Monster Hunter, as you'll be hacking and
slashing at monsters in real - time
while gathering materials from around the stage, and from your fallen foes.
