made it difficult to demonstrate a strong relationship between increasing cognitive issues and increasing
sleep apnea severity.»
Sleep deficits increase the number of calories required to stay awake, which compounds poorer decision -
making among overtired people, promoting overshooting the calorie mark.
Since almost half of Americans don't get the recommended seven to eight hours of
sleep a night, a nap can also help
make up for that
deficit.
