Hosts is a little better, because it's from
a slightly different era.

In that
era before wall - to - wall sports news, if you had missed Sports Report or its
slightly earlier TV equivalent following the revolutionary teleprinter showing the final scores, you had to rush down to the local newsagent that evening to try to get a copy of the Green Citizen or Pink Times (both titles might have a
different connotation today) before they sold out or the shop closed to find out results, sometimes only to find that your match of interest had been a late kick off and its final score hadn't made the print run and you just had to wait for the Sunday newspapers because you were certain to miss Sportscene / MotD.
Add in concept cars and even cars from
different eras and there's plenty for the gamer to choose but more importantly, each car does handle
slightly and sometimes completely differently.
At times, the jumps between
different eras of Jodie's life is
slightly disorientating, but it ultimately works really well.
Now, when people think of 8 - bit consoles, they generally think of the two titans of the
era: the Nintendo Entertainment System (a version the Japanese Nintendo Famicom, with
slightly different specs), and the Sega Master System.
It's still better than the 16 / 32bit
era where they'd release an updated version of the game that was
slightly different like Street Fighter.
