While the rear curve isn't as dramatic nor ergonomic as it was in the past, we're happy to see this bring the replacement of practically awkward
slim side edges with larger curved side continuations of aluminum, which makes the phone easier to grip, especially with a single hand.

edge of the Galaxy S II has a 3.5 mm headphone jack, the bottom has a microUSB port, a
slim volume rocker sits on the left, and a tiny power lies on the right

It's a unibody aluminium build, which feels very solid, and also very
slim and comfortable thanks to the curves that extend from the back, up the
edges, to form that «horizon line» along the
sides.
That top ring is surprisingly
slim and while it sticks up above the face of the phone at the top and bottom, it nicely tapers down to be nearly flush with the screen on the
sides, even on the curvy Galaxy S7
edge.
There is still a thin bezel top and bottom, and an even
slimmer one around the
sides, though it's not really noticeable when you look at the phone head on because of those sloping
edges.
