The
sling wrap is a long piece of fabric, wrapped in a certain way to be sure your baby is comfortable (and in that M - seated position) and you can
carry in many different ways (
back, hip, front).
Using a long ring
slings for ruck - under - bum
back carries: I do not personally recommend using a long ring
sling to do this style of
carry, and must completely disclaim any liability for incidents that occur when using this position against my recommendation.
A ring
sling front
carry is a good option for any baby who is a little bit older than a newborn but may not have the body strength or development for a hip, side, or
back carry yet.
Most parents who use ring
slings transition their babies to this
carrying style around 4 months of age, but you can do so whenever your child is getting more interested in the world around you as long as he or she can support his or her
back, head, and neck without added assistance.
I would encourage you to get comfortable with front
