I've started making
slow cooked onions in my small slow cooker and freezing them in ice cube trays to use in other dishes.
After I made
some Slow Cooker Onions I wanted to come up with different recipes that could feature those onions.

In a
slow cooker, first layer int eh
onion slices, then the chicken.
In the bowl of your
slow cooker mix together cream of chicken soup, water, two packets of chicken gravy mix,
onion flakes, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
To do this dump chicken gravy mix, a can of cream of chicken soup, minced
onion flakes, garlic powder, two cups water, salt and pepper in the bowl of your
slow cooker.
I then place the beef on top of the
onions in the
slow cooker, and let the machine do the rest!
It easy to prep the night before (or even in the morning as your coffee brews) because you just have to brown up a little ground beef and
onion and toss it into the
slow cooker with a diced pepper, a can of tomato sauce and three spices (how's that for keeping things simple?

I haven't been sent one of the ones with a metal insert, but I think you could saute
onion and spices right in your
slow cooker.

slow cooker.
Mrs. Grimes Black Beans, peppers,

slow cooker then simmered until the vegetables are tender.
Fill the
cooker with enough sliced
onions to make it half or three - quarters full, about three to six
onions depending on the size of your
slow cooker.
Much like caramelizing
onions on the stove top, a
slow cooker can
cook onions low and
slow until they reach caramelized perfection.

Beef, bacon, mushrooms, carrots and

onion, 3 minced garlic cloves, 1 cup salsa, 2-1/2 cups chicken broth, and herbs and spices including chili powder, cumin, salt, and dried oregano.
Return to
slow cooker with chicken and stir in green
onions.
