You already know my opinion on boring
slow pace cardio so I won't go into that today... BUT, try this workout for really interesting variety!

The trick here is to either do longer but less intense
cardio sessions, like 30 - 45 minutes of high
pace walking or 30 minutes of riding a bike at a
slower pace 3 to 4 times a week, or you can do short (15 - 20 minute), intense interval workouts (HIIT, tabata or fartlek training) 2 - 3 times a week on non-weightlifting days.
Walking my large, energetic dog for 30 minutes to an hour a day, at his
pace rather than my naturally
slower pace, gives me a good
cardio workout.
I like doing the HIIT
cardio, would you recommend this for the morning
cardio as I find it boring doing the 45 min at a
slow pace.
Over time,
slow paced fasting
cardio becomes less effective, as your body gets used to it (according to a recent interview by 50 Cent's trainer).
Some people will have «off days» or «recovery days» where they go in and just do 45 - 90 minutes of
cardio at a
slow pace.
For another excellent form of
cardio,
slow down the
pace and increase the incline.
The
cardio setting was maxed at a pretty
slow (running)
pace (a little over 7km / hr) but I assume that's approx max fat burning zone.
According to the American Council on Exercise, Hatha yoga (in the West, this has come to refer to
slower -
paced classes) burns about 150 calories an hour (and does not raise your heart rate enough to be considered a form of
cardio), while vinyasa (faster -
paced, flowing yoga) burns about twice that much.
