To address the fatigue characteristics of isolated skeletal muscles, we dissected the fast extensor digitorum longus (EDL) and
slow soleus muscles from
anesthetized mice and subjected them to a repeated contraction protocol in which muscles were stimulated for 330 ms every second for 6 minutes at a stimulation frequency of 40 Hz.
