I have only done
small projects so far, it is so easy and
such great results that I am hoping to tackle some big
furniture pieces this summer!

furniture,
such as a
piece that your cat likes to scratch (the post will give them an option so they will scratch it instead of the
furniture).
Over the past few months I've shared several distressing techniques and this one is very similar to the others only I did a few things different, so I wanted to share a tutorial that shows you how to distress a
piece of
furniture since most of my distressing has been with
smaller decorative items
such as picture frames, step stools and wooden signs.
Then the
smaller furniture pieces and accessories,
such as artwork, mirrors and decorative
pieces are added.

When walking into my home I have a
small entry space and a large wall.At one time I thought I would put a bench there and maybe a mirror.But having
such a
small space with a door I did not think a bench would work.I found this
piece of
furniture a few years ago at a resale shop.I think it fits perfectly in this tight space.There is still plenty of room for my door to open.My front door is just to the right of the photo... but not seen.I change this often.This time I decided to add a window in front and a few other things too.I love layering
pieces together.But I could not stop here.I found this old painting at a thrift store.
