Intimate Abstraction - March 7th - April 5th 2013 The title of this
exhibition derives partly from the size of the
gallery and the choice of
smaller works to include in it, but more importantly from the layers of meaning in the word intimate.

To accompany the
exhibition at the new location, a

The
gallery continues to work in collaboration with institutions, large and
small, developing partner relationships and initiating
exhibitions and projects throughout the United States and abroad.
I'm sure this is in no
small part down to so many incredible
exhibitions of painters at museums and
galleries at the moment: Tschabalala Self at Parasol Unit, Djordje Ozbolt at Hauser & Wirth Somerset, Robert Rauschenberg at Tate Modern, the David Hockney
exhibition at Tate Britain, and the group
exhibition of painters «House Work» at Victoria Miro to name a few.
M E N is a contemporary art
gallery located in the Two Bridges neighborhood of New York City, presenting singular artistic gestures by emerging and mid-career artists in a purposefully -
small storefront
exhibition space.
With an
exhibition area of 1,800 sq metres, the Tanks are more than half as big as the not -
small Turbine Hall, and exceed the display space of entire regional
galleries, such as the Turner Contemporary in Margate.
Curating an
exhibition of 164 works encompassing half a century that fills all 12 ground - floor
galleries of London's Royal Academy is no
small challenge.

At Volta, the
small art fair affiliated with the much larger annual Armory Show,
galleries presented a curated
exhibition featuring a single artist.
In this latest
exhibition, the
