Some Savannahs have the
same small livers as their Serval ancestors and they may require boosters for flu and other ailments.
Some veterinarians [citation needed] have noted servals have
smaller livers relative to their body sizes than domestic cats, and some Savannahs inherit this, but the medical consequence of this is unrecognized and is likely to be of no consequence.
Using his technique in mice, Lagasse has already succeeded in growing 20 to 40
small livers that gradually pick up the slack as the central liver fades.
This small liver is due to the diverted blood flow to the liver.
This same radiograph might also show
a small liver, an indication of PSS.
In an older dog
a small liver means that the liver cells are dying and not being replaced.
