The game's 15 maps range from wide - open Halo - style Blood Gulch maps to much
smaller arena maps.

The important thing to note is that none of these
maps were particularly large, and all of them tended to cater to their respective game - modes: an altered 3 - lane layout (with the central lane swollen to accommodate so many AI soldiers) for Dominion, and slightly
smaller arenas for Brawl or Duel.
In some cases, a contract will put you at the other end of the
map but it wasn't long before I found myself thinking, «oh right, this path will take me to X and that one will take me to Y.» Each chapter is set within a different part of the world but the repetition and compact
arenas make the world feel
smaller than it should be.
The
map is broken up into several
smaller arenas and in order to advance to the next section, all enemies and bosses in an
arena must be destroyed.
