Re-using the shell saves on laundry (bonus), and the soakers are
smaller than a prefold (although I hear GroVia makes some great prefolds) so the laundry bag doesn't fill up as quick.

Prefolds are
smaller than flats, easier to fold, and a little thicker in the center.

smaller than our brand new
prefold which is fitting since both are a size 1.
After doing a lot of research, I was set in wanting to use pocket diapers rather
than prefold, but decided that if I wanted to be full - blown into cloth diapering, I needed a
small stash of

However, we used infant size

small (rather
than newborn) covers.
The regular sized
prefold is also perfect for babies who are too
small for premium sized
prefolds but need more absorbency
than the infant
prefolds offer.
Should my tiny twins need something
smaller than Pure & Naturals, I will go to the gold standard
prefolds or flats with Prowraps or Bummis covers.
But the diapers will be big for the first 6 weeks on a typical newborn - but since size novice light green are 2 layers less in the center
