Customers are now increasingly using
their smartphones while shopping physically in a retail store.
TORONTO — Most Canadians will be armed with
their smartphones while shopping this holiday season and likely won't pull the trigger on purchases without launching a few quick searches first, suggests new research released Thursday.
This past year, 51 percent of purchases took place online, more than 90 percent of consumers used
smartphones while shopping in - store and 78 percent of global shoppers were influenced in some way by social media.
A customer who barely takes the time to look up from
his smartphone while shopping for a tank, for example, would not be considered a good candidate for a sophisticated setup.

According to the same RIS study mentioned above, they use their
