I used good
smelling liquid detergent, good smelling softener and good smelling dryer sheets, but my laundry was not, well... good smelling.

Bought it for the newborn... tested it with with smelly gym gear and just doesn't quite get the
smell out in a single wash like
liquid detergent
Think of the fabric that diapers are made up of, if that fabric is ment to absorb mass amounts of
liquids, then in the wash its also absorbing
detergents weather or not its soap like or not, then if it dosnt get rinsed properly over time that once absorbent fabric will turn into your kitchen sponge that no longer
smells like daisies and is probably making you dishes dirty when you wash them.

If the cloth diapers are not taking in the urine or they get a bad
smell, you need to change the way you wash by thinking of the natural
detergent,
liquid detergent, and related others.
Makes me wonder though... what in the world is in
liquid detergent that makes it
smell so bad?
