snack, they could go into their designated
snack drawers (one for dry and another for refrigerated treats) and choose what they wanted, when they were hungry.

of days: Cheez - Its and Welch's Fruit
Snacks was one day, another day (for when I beat the lines) was a hot (microwaved, I'm sure) egg roll from the a la carte line and two freakish but addicting chocolate chip cookies from the warming
drawer, another option was a packet
of two iced strawberry pop tarts from, yet again, the vending machine.
The other thing I like about using containers versus a bento box now, is I have a
drawer full
of small various containers and cloth
snack bags to rotate through while packing lunch items.
Leave the items in the bottom
drawer of the refrigerator and the next time your child wants a
snack, encourage her to go grab some veggies and dip.
This one sucks way worse being at home, and here's why: At work, when my hunger went from 0 to «holy shit, I need food right now or someone is going to get drop - kicked,» one
of two things happened: 1) a sympathetic co-worker may have offered to pick up lunch or share the contents
of their
snack drawer with me, or 2) they would run from me like a herd
of terrified villagers, at least providing me solitude.
We homeschool, so they have a
snack drawer they get what they want out
of!
Sometimes I had time to prepare a sandwich or heat up left overs, but most times I would
snack on my stash
of nursing
snacks in the
drawer.
They don't keep sugar - laden energy bars in their desk
drawers, they don't sit in front
of the TV with a jar
of roasted almonds, and they definitely don't give
snacks to kids as a way to occupy or appease them.
If you don't have
snacks stashed in your desk
drawer, your options are limited: You can step out to pick up something, or succumb to the temptation
of the office vending machine.
Keep
snacks like almonds in your desk
drawer — just a handful
of almonds give you plenty
of protein for your lasting energy.
And you probably already have all
of the ingredients in your refrigerator and spice
drawer to make this crunchy
snack.
The
drawers of chocolate and cookies and other sugary
snacks don't tempt me at all, but the bread, damn is it good.
«Hide» unhealthy
snacks in your kitchen by storing them out
of sight (think bottom shelf
of a cabinet, hard to reach
drawer)
Most days around three o'clock or so in the afternoon, I find myself standing in front
of the office
snack drawer and asking myself this question: am I hungry?
And if you've tried one or two
of those things and you find yourself standing at the
snack drawer again, then just have the damn cookie!
When I first started back at work after a year
of maternity leave I'd find myself mindlessly rummaging through the

That wasn't the only case
of Mondays, as I realized I forgot my wallet as soon as I stepped out the door, which was good since I went back in to retrieve it quickly, but while on my way to work, I realized that I had forgotten my keys for my cabinet, which means I'd have no access to my
snacks and other things in my
drawers.
During the sale process our young ones were complaining
of hunger and he opened his
drawer and helped us out with
snacks and had fresh coffee for us while they prepared the car.
Whether it is piling up their dog bowl with their normal food, giving them their unhealthy dog
snacks because they look cute standing by the treat
drawer or letting them have part
of our burger by giving us the sad - eyed look, it's easy to overfeed our pup.
The
drawers provide needed storage, and the top provides plenty
of room for drinks and
snacks.
