Two recipes come to mind as those that shock home cooks the first
time they make them: mashed potatoes, for how much cream and butter is used, and granola, which also has a surprising amount of fat and much
more sugar than expected in a healthful
snack or breakfast.
Secondly, I love to embrace speedy simplicity by taking hold of the ritual of batch cooking, one pan options, and easy - peasy
snacks and refreshments that allow less
time in hands - on food prep, and
more time enjoying the outdoors and the presence of those I love.

more difficult to get my son to eat fresh vegetables and meats at lunch or dinner
time.
Your toddler may be enjoying playtime and
snack time even
more than ever, as she uses her fingers to point, pick up toys and eat finger foods.
We eat sweets and packaged
snacks all the
time; however, when I'm the one doling them out, they are usually on the
more wholesome side.
And if your breakfast doesn't include a veggie, consider a vegetable at
snack time or
more vegetables at dinner.
