After discussion, we have clean up,
snack time then music before we leave.
I sometimes tend to graze through lunch on the weekend — well, through
my snack time then go somewhere for a late lunch / early dinner.
We finally made it to a table to have a little snack [I am not embarrassed to say that I was more ready for
some snack time then any of the little ones] and I just happened to bring all the babes a little jar of this chocolate chia seed pudding.

It isn't long before somebody is asked to organize activities for the children,

then somebody doesn't like the subject matter of the adult study, somebody says it's going on too long, too short, and where's the music, we need somebody to play guitar, and who's going to organize the prayer at the end, and why do the children interrupt us all the
time when we're trying to talk to God?
The chia seeds make smoothies set as they absorb all the extra liquid, so you can make the same smoothie just leave out the chia next
time Yes I drink just a smoothie every morning and

snack a few hours later!
those freeze dried
snacks are too expensive for me to try because I'm afraid he will love them and
then ill be stuck buying them all the
time.
So
then it was free - for - all and my kids ate whatever they found for breakfast,
then my oldest made a batch of muffins for a late morning
snack and
then it was nap
time.
The hubs and I really liked this, and it makes a lot: one night I used it for nachos with all the fixins,
then it went over steamed broccoli, the third day it topped lentil tacos, and I dipped into as a

(As an aside, we travelled a couple
times with our oldest, and he did great, except on one leg of a flight when he was 18 mos, where among other delays, we sat in the plane on the runway for 3 hours with no food / water service (we ran out of
snacks)-- we got dirty looks because he was (understandably) crying, and
then when I nursed him to calm him down, that got me looks too.
he wakes up, he eats, he plays, he naps, eats, plays, goes for a walk and naps again and
then eats again and
then plays again until it is bath
time and last bottle for the night — where do people have
time to give their babies bottles of juice or water or
snacks??
Then have him put it away and relegate it to meal — and
snack -
time: a couple of small pieces at meals for dessert and as much as he wants for
snack time.
After rest
time you can enjoy a
snack together and
then do an activity, take a walk or play outside if the weather is fine before your evening routine.
8 month old boy (who's in transition from nursing to formula & solids) 8 am - wake, diaper, nurse for 5 - ish minutes 8:30 am - breakfast in high chair (4 oz bottle + solids) 9:00 - 9:45 ish - play
time (independent play
then reading books & getting ready for nap) 10am - 11:30 am - morning nap 11:30 - 12 pm - wake up from nap, diaper, get dressed for day, etc ** if we go out to run errands this is the
time we leave, and and we will stop to eat lunch while out 12 pm - lunch (8oz bottle + solids) 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm - play
time 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm - afternoon nap 3:30 - 4 pm - play
time 4 pm - eat (8oz bottle +
snack such as cheerios) 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm - play
time (if he woke up early from afternoon nap,
then sometimes he still takes a short cat nap during this timeframe 6:30 pm - dinner with family (solids in high chair) 7:00 pm - outdoor play
time (baby swing, take a walk, etc) 8:00 pm - start of an 8oz bottle 8:30 pm - bath
time, read books, finish rest of bottle 9:00 pm - bedtime.
At
snack time and meal
time, you'll want to give solid foods first and
then breastfeed after.
After school, let your child buzz around doing kids stuff,
then set a certain
time for them to come inside, offer a light
snack letting them its now
time for them to settle, suggest watching some T V, or reading a book, or maybe sit and chat while you prepare the family meal.
I recommend my patients strive for the 80/20 rule, which is: 80 % of the meals and
snacks to be homemade, organic and whole food options and
then the other 20 % I choose from the best premade options that are available at the
time and location.
The suns» rays are strongest between the hours of 10 am and 4 pm, ideal
times for a
snack in the shade, and
then lunch and a nap indoors.

The routine might include a bath, a
snack, story
time, brushing teeth, prayers and
then brief snuggles as you tuck your child in bed.
Then, tell them that they can have a few pieces of candy at each designated
snack time, so that they can learn to enjoy the candy, but in moderation, and they still get to balance the candy with actual meals.
I think having a designated
snack time 2x a day helps keep my little ones happy and
then they are hungry when it comes to mealtime.
I encouraged her to drink more water by giving her some thirst - quenching peanut butter for

Consider the
timing of your meals: Start the day with a breakfast that is definitely NOT sugary and
then aim to eat every three to four hours, including some protein and vegetables with each meal and
