A
melting snow patch in Greenland has revealed what could be the oldest fossilized evidence of life on Earth.
The NOC's robot - sub, Autosub6000, used seafloor photographs to create the first landscape - scale map of
marine snow patches in addition to a map of the abundance of life on the sea - floor (also known as biomass).
There was a painting that looked like a Milton Avery composition of an almost whimsical,
white snow patch or pond surrounded by light brown earth and green - gray sky sitting on the high horizon.
