I've got to tell you I laughed at your snowshoes on the door b / c we
still have so much
snow here that just last week I was contemplating hanging some old red
skis in our living room as decor.
Since
ski season is upon us (even though there is a lack of
snow on the mountains), I thought it would be helpful to share some packing essentials to stay warm &
still look chic!
I am not a young man by any means, but
still exercise & lift heavy weights twice a week, can swim from one beach to another, water
ski and
snow ski throughout the trois vallees in France.

skiing above 7500 ft., where most of the resorts are located, but I have noticed less and less
snow in the foothills leading up to those elevations over the years.
For example, a
ski resort has a legitimate interest in knowing whether there will
still be
snow in 10, 20, 100 years in their area of operation.

ski resorts in Northern California are
still open.
The
snow, disguised as the enemy only moments ago, is suddenly my good fortune, and with powder waiting under the
still unlit skies I try to catch a few more minutes of sleep,
skiing on my mind.
The medium width and small turning radius round out its impressive features, allowing the
ski to handle beautifully in deep
snow while
still initiating tight turns with precision and speed.
Should something go wrong in one location (i.e., no
snow for
ski markets, oil spill, strict ordinances, regulation, etc.), you'll
still have another location that is hopefully immune.
