The space is 420 sq. foot modern, light bright with lots o transom windows, high ceilings, Maple floor, and maple
kitchen cabinets, We knew ahead of time we would lose money on this investment,
so we plan to just rent it out.We picked all the colors to be
neutral and made sure that the place feels light and open, we hope that will work in our favor when we rent it.
The

kitchen reno inspiration board; we have a 1903 San Francisco home, and the
neutral palette with traditional and modern mix would be a dream in the space.
Heather — last summer I got on an aqua kick and decided I wanted to add some to my family room and
kitchen (the
kitchen is also
neutral and gets redecorated for the seasons),
so I started buying anything in that color that I could find, like the blue throw, the plates, little fingerbowls that I put flowers in, etc..
In the dining room, family room, and
kitchen, «Camouflage» by Benjamin Moore is the color of choice, it's a fantastic gray green that looks gray in indirect light and green in direct light,
so soothing and serene, and a wonderful
neutral too.
I'm guessing the builder chose them because he thought they were «
neutral», but since we live and work here now, we're looking forward to personalizing the
kitchen so that it tickles our fancy... not the fancy of the folks who built it - LOL!

Your cabinets or
kitchen walls might need more vibrant color to bring personality or interest, or your architecture might be beautiful on its own,
so white or
neutrals are the best compliment.

Grays can go cold and flat if you're not careful,
so choose soft, warm tones like this gray quartz - surfacing used on the countertops and island top and sides for a
neutral kitchen you can live with for years to come.
However, being a
neutral colour it still fitted into our
kitchen scheme
so kept them.
We have a dark brown leather couch...
so I was thinking maybe a nice
neutral gray to be relaxing and not clashing with our bold
kitchen, unless bold would be better?
Here in Southern Delaware, the weather is more mild and we live in a coastal town
so our newly built home is painted
neutral beiges in the
kitchen, dining room, and library with the LR in a deeper shade and the whole house has bright white trim, baseboards and crown molding.
