I loved them the first time but wanted them to be a little sweeter, so to achieve this i used bigger medjool dates (a massive tub from costco only costs # 5, and the dates are so much bigger, more plump and stickier than the ones I got from the supermarket last time).

The medjool dates are the ones that are really soft, naturally so sweet and really sticky too, so they help to bind the ingredients together.

Hi Kate, this is one of the pricier recipes becuase of the dates, you could try using normal dates, but I just find medjool's are extra sumptuously sweet and juicy so just work best in the recipe.
