Most
molds for soap making will be a suitable size, so just make sure your
mold is designed with that purpose in mind and you should be just fine!
Soap has a high pH which normally keeps microbes away, but if water starts condensing on your
soaps, I suppose that it would be possible
for mold to form on that water.
For 10 ounces of
soap (which filled 3 round
molds) I used 1 capsule of Vitamin E, about 1 tablespoon of honey, and about 1/4 cup of oats.
I used this silicone chrysanthemum
mold for this
soap recipe.
Glitter
soap can be as fun or subtle as you choose,
for a delicate sparkling bar of glitter
soap you will need to add the glitter once a skin has begun to form on the melted
soap base or the glitter will sink towards the bottom of the
mold (I've used this method in the fun lip gloss
soaps...
STEP 8: When the
soap has hardened (usually around 24 hrs), remove from the
mold and allow it to air
for for a few hours.

You'll begin by making your heart embeds
for this
soap for which you'll need a Wilton 6 - cavity heart silicone
mold.
You can either use a knife to cut out a heart shape in the center of each side of your
soap geode and fill with red colored clear melt and pour
soap; you can place a heart embed from a small heart shaped
mold into the center of your
soap geodes and pour clear melt and pour
soap around them; or you use a small heart cookie or knife to create a heart embed
for the center of your
soap geodes from a thin layer of red dyed
soap.
And then pop your
soap out of the
molds and then wrap or store them in a dry place ready
for use.
