Further on from the sharks there are beautiful small valleys of
soft coral dropping down to the sandy bottom.

The dramatic
drop - offs have a huge variety of
soft and hard
corals that offer a home to an abundance of reef fish such as fusiliers, butterflyfish, sweetlips, cardinal fish and damsel fish.
The north side
drops to sand at 21 meters and the south, which is covered in magnificent
soft corals,
drops to sand at 18 meters.
The rocky slopes, which
drop off dramatically to a depth of over 30 meters are heavily populated with brilliant
soft coral growths, colorful gorgonian's, several species of moray eels and a number of invertebrates.

coral formations, sea grass beds, mangroves, shallow reefs,

soft corals and sponges and carved with small
drop - offs and canyons.
The rock in the middle of the bay has very steep
drop offs to the south and west and an amazing shelf in the north that is carpeted with wrinkled
soft corals in the shallows.
There is great variety from sheer
drop offs, pinnacles, to expansive hard and
soft coral gardens offering the opportunity to see a multitude of colourful sea life including crocodile fish, lionfish, blue spotted stingrays and occasionally sharks.
Here, there is a
drop off dive wall covered with large gorgonian sea fans, large elephant ear sponges and barrel sponges, basket sponges, hydroids, colorful crinoids and
soft corals.
On the other side of the wall lies another wall, definitely worth exploring if the current allows it: Covered in
soft coral, sponges, green tree
coral and fans, it is the hiding place for many morays and puffers and it
drops off into a flat lunar like landscape with whole gardens of whip
corals, vibrating in the current.
Here there is a wonderful wall which
drops straight down and is covered with Hard and
Soft Corals.
At some dive sites you have hard
corals, at others it's mostly
soft corals, and with such a large number of islands you find many different ecosystems including seagrass beds, mangroves, shallow reefs, deep
drop offs, black sand, plus there are more recorded species of fish in Raja Ampat than anywhere else.
The dive site follows a ridge jutting out from the west of the island, covered in pastel shaded
soft corals, which
drops to depths of 35 - 40m.
Rocky formations, pinnacles and boulders are the back
drop to Koh Lipe's reefs where you will see colourful
soft coral and much more.
Nakase dive site is a steep
coral wall
dropping to around 30m, with a wide variety of
soft and hard
corals.
