edged bars of color
within fields of contrasting hue.
It is in this tension where the surface of the canvas provides a stark contrast between impulse and order, hard
edge to
soft, as if there are two paintings
within one struggling to occupy the same space.
And placing pinks, yellows and
soft blues
within a hard -
edged, urban space looks totally modern — think dark granite surface, exposed metal and industrial - style lighting and accessories.
