On my
review unit I had IRC, FTP, Adobe Master Collection CS5, Telnet and a bunch of other custom
software and everything worked like a dream.
The Venue 8 Pro comes with very little pre-loaded

review unit had a tendency to stutter through animations at times, but a
software update seemed to fix these issues.
We're not sure if this was an issue out of the box or a result of the
software update that we downloaded
on the first day, but it's certainly not available anywhere in the phones» settings (at least in our
review units in India, but it could be a bug in the firmware as well).
This may be the case only with this particular
review unit, and is definitely an issue
on the
software side, as the scanner works perfectly fine in every other situation, so hopefully BLU has a fix in the works.
On October 7th, three days after it handed out the Mini
review units, Google rolled out a
software update that disables the button.

software on CD because I received a

review units are likely not running final
software, so such bugs will hopefully be a non-issue
on the retail
