Just the other day, I tweeted that the Dell Venue 8 Pro was a very
solid little device with a price tag that is almost impossible to argue with (unless of course you have a non-tech-geek significant other... but anyway...).
Still, it is a very
solid little device.
the Exhibit II is not the best looking phone but is
a solid little device with fantastic screen quality for an entry level device.
Not exact matches
One of the first things you notice after spending some time with the BlackBerry Torch 9800 is that the hardware feels quite
solid; it's durable, yet not too heavy at 5.68 ounces — about an ounce more than both RIM's BlackBerry Bolds 9000 and 9650; the slider mechanism is smooth and there's very
little horizontal - «give» while open vertically, which typically bodes well for its durability over time; the battery cover sits snuggly in place, even if you attempt to wiggle it around; and there's
little - or - no squeaking or «creaking» if you squeeze and / or press various sections of the
device, which hasn't necessarily been the case with other recent BlackBerry
devices — expect for the top panel and trackpad, but I'll get to that in the next section.
The tablet is light, only 9.6 ounces, but we actually felt that a
little more weight might make this
device feel more
solid and sturdy.
This made the
device a
little heavier but
solid in feel.
As if squeezing a rock -
solid 60 fps out of Nintendo's
little device (in both docked and handheld modes) wasn't enough, VooFoo have jammed in all the previously released DLC and cross-platform (with PC and Xbox, thanks to Sony's anti-consumer approach) play, too.
I happen to be reviewing that exact phone at the moment, and it's a
solid device, but I can't help but feel a
little disappointed BlackBerry didn't choose to create something original after they took a step in the right direction with the Priv.
The theory goes that the
little antenna constantly pinging a cell tower would greatly drain a
device that already has only 24 - 48 hours of
solid use.
While it's a
little expensive, this
solid case is ideal for S6 owners who are afraid of dropping their new
device.
With anticipation on the
device seemingly increasing based on a number of leaks that have been popping up recently, it may be a
little difficult to come up with a
solid understanding of the Galaxy S7's purported specs and features.
Either
device is a
solid pick, but if you want the better specifications and hardware, you really have to look to the LG V10 — it will cost you a
little more, but is right in line with other new flagships.
As the handset launched on the other side of the pond a
little less than a month ago, we've had an opportunity to try it out and as we noted in our hands - on piece, we were pleasantly surprised by how snappy and
solid it feels for a
device that costs less than $ 280 ($ 320) in Europe.
This
little device is wonderful when starting baby on
solids.
