narratives describing Jesus» appearance to his disciples we notice again and again that the accounts speak of him in terms of the
solid bodily
form of Jesus: He eats with them, invites Thomas to place his hand in his wounds, he breaks bread with the disciples on the road to Emmaus, he eats breakfast by the lakeside.
