There's still a strange stigma surrounding the idea of sitting down and playing something like XCOM: The Board Game or Robinson Crusoe alone, despite them clearly having
solo modes listed on the box.

Not anymore just look at the patch notes those have been changed to
solo, tactical and hard
mode but if you notice that Star Fortress isn't
listed in tactical or hard
mode.
You can play either Party or
Solo mode when the event includes board gameplay, but you must have a picture of the 2 things
listed above.
Call me lucky then, but I can confirm, that it is doable in
solo mode, adding an Defence Guardian to my
list.
