So whilst the closed door discussions will be about how to keep the
status quo regardless of the rapidly increasing power costs and breakdown of service that is now being experienced around the country, the open conversations being had by the people are excited discussions about the future because we trust the likes of Elon Musk and Mike Cannon - Brookes to get the job done more
than we trust big power and Government to come to any kind of meaningful and affordable long term
solution.
Given that despite the unprecedented joint statement by 11 national science academies, calls for the global treaty have been roundly ignored by the
status quo, is it not time that climate scientists start discussing this requisite
solution publicly, rather
than just behind the politicians» closed doors?
These flexibilities can not be found in the statutory text, and in the absence of regulations, states may default back to the
status quo and take the less risky path by hewing closely to the statute, rather
than pushing for more creative
solutions that work better in their local contexts.
What about us pet parents, rescuers and animal advocates — could we be playing a role in condoning the
status quo by being part of the problem rather
than the
solution?
