There is
something about a great, caramel laced
oatmeal cookie, playing backdrop to the tang of fresh strawberries that make these explosively good.
Something about its mild taste and grainy texture really does it for me and brings me back to those childhood breakfasts that would frequently consist of a steaming bowl of
oatmeal.
The
oatmeal is my absolutely favorite part in this cookie ~ there's just
something about the texture of
oatmeal that does it for me, maybe convinces me that the cookie is healthy and Spanx is totally unnecessary!

something with buckwheat groats, I'm thinking

oatmeal game or using them like Shahla from My Berkely Kitchen who adds the groats for crunch where you would typically use nuts.
There's
something about this Baked Berry
Oatmeal that is so comforting.
Even though I'm food conscious when is comes to traveling — planning out where to eat, slightly stressing
about breakfast options (I have a serious
oatmeal habit), scoping out the local specialities — food is not
something I usually bring on planes.
Oatmeal raisin cookies, lemon meringue pie, and carrot cake are all in the top five as well, but there's
something about a brownie that makes me feel comforted.
So, getting off the topic of how ugly dates are, let's talk
about something much better: these Figgy
Oatmeal Bars!
Something about them, especially when paired with
oatmeal and cinnamon.
And there's
something especially great
about pulling a warm, cinnamon - y
oatmeal bake out of the oven.
If you don't believe me, here's
something you should know... I ran personal blood sugar tests on myself using a blood glucometer
about 45 minutes after eating 2 slices of wheat bread vs eating a bowl of
oatmeal, with equivalent grams of carbs.
Even though I had
oatmeal for breakfast, there is just
something so much more delectable and satisfying
about an oat bake.
But I am confused and now curious
about something... as you claim that if you go for a walk after eating the
oatmeal then the blood sugar issue is no longer an issue, as this obviously keeps your blood reading at a safe level, of no harm, but you instead you add nuts and seeds in place of the
oatmeal, and this, I am to assume, allows you not to have to go for the walk.
And while I do think that full sized oat bakes are a good idea for meal prepping breakfasts during the week, there is
something so amazing to me
about a fresh, hot from the oven, single - serve breakfast — which is clearly why I decided to share an entire week's worth of baked
oatmeal with you guys.
