I usually have a picture in my head
of something I want to make... then I'll get
out my
basket of embroidery threads and choose which colours I want to use.
Some reviews, however, have criticized the
basket and these parents prefer
something larger and because
of the way the frame is built, getting larger items in and
out can be difficult.
I also like that the
basket has a bit
of give to it so that if you need to get
something from the side, simple pull the storage
basket out a little for side access.

for me it was the vintage picnic
baskets... i have a few and one is my family's from when I was a child... My current item I am hunting — great vintage pulleys with a good aged piece
of wood and great hook... Still trying to figure
out how to display them once I have collected enough... there is just
something about their colors and BOLD look....
Anyway, the last few months I have been looking for a unit for the family room, one with doors that would hide junk... before we had one
of those IKEA open shelving units here with
baskets in it and it always looked messy... I mean it is a Family Room for heaven's sake, meaning kiddos hang
out here... and they sure don't care about tidy, but I thought
something with doors would mean we could stuff and close...
I had originally thought about doing plastic laundry
baskets that slid in and
out of channels in the cart, but at the end
of the day I wanted
something with a higher - end finish, and these metal
baskets definitely fit the bill.
