Our 8.5 month old
son has always seemed fussy at dinner time (since we
started solid foods... rice cereal at 5 months).
hi i m mahek.my problem is that my
son is almost 6 months old.his birth wait was 3 kgs.i had to
start him formula milk as i felt my milk was not being enough for him.now that Alhamdulillah he is six months i have
started giving him
solid foods also.but now he is really giving me a hard time while taking bottle feed.as i read milk is very essential for the baby in the first year i wanted to feed him milk as far as possible but he takes only 90 ml milk that too only twice a day but on the pack the quantity of milk per feed is 180 ml.he takes my milk very happily but it will not be enough.i am worried as i can not give him
solid food everytime when he is hungry as it is causing constipation to him.pls if anyone can answer.jazakallah.thanks.

solid foods at 6 months, we tried spoon - feeding him baby cereal and a variety of pureed fruits and veggies to no avail.

I'm looking forward to giving my

start in
solids and not having to do purees and rice cereal is so exciting:) I can't wait for the mess and the look of curiosity and amusement on my
son's face as he eats «big people's
food» for the first time.
if anything it made it easier for me and for my
son because i could offer
solids at the right time because i knew he wasnt full up or starving either so he was more interested in exploring
food, he made a brilliant
start with this method and honestly meal times are an absolute joy in our house, he is confident with
food and its lovely to watch him learning about
food in such a positive way.
P.S. I saw an lactation consultant who failed to diagnose my
son's poor latch and suck and it wasn't until he failed to
start eating
solid food by age 1 that he was diagnosed with a feeding disorder.
I've been using the recipe book and
food processor since my
son has
started solids around 6 and a half months.
Although I would have never even entertained the thought of letting my
son have finger
foods right off the bat three years ago, after a friend of mine told me that she used the «baby - led weaning» approach to
starting solids, I was both intrigued and slightly confused as to how it was even possible.
My pediatrician suggested my

food process to the point we were sent to a speech pathologist to see if there was something wrong with his mouth, turns out there was nothing wrong with his mouth he really dislikes mashed
food and will sit and eat feeding himself quiet happily if it is chopped into little pieces his fingers can pick up.
