ice cubes or serve
in chilled bowls.

in containers of multiple sizes:
ice cubes of caramelized onions are great for last - minute burger and sandwich toppings, cup - sized portions can be used for pizza and pasta toppings, and larger containers are perfect to throw directly
in a
soup.
For my pot of
soup, some of which can be frozen too, popped
in ice cube trays for easy access to
soup for kiddie meals, I used around 600g of butternut squash, I did weigh it for the benefit of this blog post but usually I just use a medium Butternut Squash.
Note: If you buy the large carton and find you can't use it all quickly enough, just freeze the rest of the coconut milk
in an
ice cube tray to use
in smoothies, or later defrost and use
in soups and other recipes.
My daughter likes split pea
soup too so I freeze it
in an
ice cube tray then transfer the frozen
cubes into a bag which I keep
in the freezer.
Transfer
soup to a storage container or bowl, cover and stick
in the fridge to chill (if you're
in a hurry, you can also just add

Just before serving, stir

soup into the chilled bowls.
Any leftover pesto can be frozen and used for pasta later on, or frozen

ice cube tray to flavour any future
soups or sauces.
