So I made this
soup for Friday night dinner — with the marinated scallions — and it was a huge hit, even with the carnivorous
types who tend to wrinkle their noses at
dishes that seem too «healthy.»
It's a versatile heat source that works well in many different
types of
dishes, from roasted root vegetables and corn on the cob to even French onion
soup.
If you'd ask me what my most comforting
types of
dishes are I'd go with
soups, curries and casseroles, I'm definitely a savoury
type of guy.

type dish made with pasta and beans.
Red lentils are great for
soups and stews in particularly as they crumble as they cook and absorb water whilst green and other
types of lentils are great in salads and cold
dishes.
To add to Julie's suggestion, I'll recommend adding some reconstituted dried mushrooms to
soups (and other
dishes) as those
type of mushrooms have a nice «meaty» texture / good tooth bite.
Bell peppers are one completely compatible vegetable and thus, you can add these colorful peppers in any
type of vegan or non-veg
dish, whether it is fry, gravy, sauté,
soup, bake or any stuffed item.
This time when the curry craving hit, it wasn't a simmered
soup or slow cooker
dish that my body wanted, it was more like a warm and cozy buddha bowl -
type meal.
