The Florida Highway Patrol believes that the 66 - year - old woman was struck by a vehicle while trying to cross
southbound U.S. 19 just south of Alternate 19 Sunday night just after 9 p.m.
Both vehicles were traveling along U.S. 19 when the accident occurred at 5:29 p.m. Reports indicate the man was heading north on U.S. 19 when the driver of a Chevy Avalanche attempted to make a left turn from
southbound U.S. 19 onto Spring Hill Drive.
The north and
southbound U.S. Highway 95 at Interstate 15 are scheduled to close from May 18 - 21, during the hours of 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., according to the Nevada Department of Transportation.
