with Southwest points, the cost of a flight (in points) varies depending on the dollar value of the flight.
Joining Rapid Rewards Dining and linking your credit cards is a fast, easy, and convenient way to earn
more Southwest points when you are dining out.
Nevertheless, it might be a good card to keep beyond the first year for the ability to earn
Southwest points when needed.
In other words, you get the same value, however, going through Ultimate Rewards, you can still earn
Southwest Points on your flight.
Earning
enough Southwest points to make a rewards redemption can be challenging, but there are several strategies that can help you earn miles and points faster at no additional cost.
While they all come with annual fees, if you value
Southwest points at 1.5 cents per point and fly Southwest often, then it makes sense to hold on these cards since the anniversary points outweigh the cost of the card's annual fee.

One of the best ways to accumulate Southwest Rapid Rewards points is through Marriott's Air + Hotel packages, which give you a week's stay in a Marriott hotel as well
