The new design includes a more compact keyboard, with the numbers row removed (accessible via symbol key), clustered, smaller, navigation buttons on both sides, and a trimmed white
space around the bezels.
To achieve this smaller design, Amazon has essentially trimmed the white
space around the bezels to give the device a tighter and more efficient presentation.
Not exact matches
The solidly built tablet has an evenly
spaced, slate - gray
bezel around the display, with a passing similarity to the
bezel on the previous Nook Tablet.
The build quality is very much the same across all the devices, with curved rears and a
bezel around the display that gives you plenty of
space to grip the tablet.

space wasted below the display area, where the capacitive navigation buttons are located.
It sounds like a gimmick, but when you see how narrow the
bezel is
around North Cape's screen, you can understand why people might want some more free
space for their thumbs.

It's good how Lenovo has managed to keep the device compact for the 5 - inch display, as not much

space for a Windows Hello - compatible IR camera, so Huawei took the power button and turned it into a fingerprint sensor.
In a world where we're increasingly hoping for very thin
bezels on our devices, the large
bezels around the display of the Z2 Tablet could be disappointing for some, but, in this case, they really help with the handling of the tablet, allowing for an easier grip by letting you rest your thumb in this
space without hitting the screen.
Before you consider your iPad's rear case color, consider the hue
around your screen: The silver, gold, and rose gold iPads have white faceplates, while the
space grey iPad models use a black
bezel.
The
bezels around the display aren't thin, and although there is a
space below the display for navigation buttons, Cyanogen OS 12 doesn't seem to provide the option to switch between on - screen and hardware buttons.
Even with the latter installed, the Moto G doesn't feel overly big: Motorola was able to eliminate even more of the
bezel space around the screen.
The left and right - side
bezels around the display aren't as tiny as most top - level smartphones these days, but they're right in the sweet spot for those users that don't like their fingers smudging the edges of the display
space.
