I find this to be a very comfortable feature as the weight from an SSC is all in
the space between the shoulder blades and the hips.
As you release your arms to the floor find a light tricep stretch and a softening in
the space between the shoulder blades.
------ Keep
the space between the shoulder blades broad.
Use the arms to help widen the upper back and move the twist into
the space between the shoulder blades.
Turn the arms outward and stretch them away from
the space between the shoulder blades.
Open
the space between the shoulder blades.
Stretch the arms away from
the space between the shoulder blades, parallel to the floor.
Watch that the ribs do not sink down; lift them to create
a space between the shoulder blades and to avoid jamming the spine.
Consider rounding the upper back like Cat pose at the top of the breath to stretch
the space between the shoulder blades.
Externally rotate your upper arms and soften
the space between your shoulder blades.
Keep
the space between the shoulder blades broad.
