Hubby and I live in a pretty small
space, and we've lived with the idea that we're moving
for the next many years
for his inevitable residency, i.e., we're surrounded by a crazy mix of hand - me - downs, inexpensive vintage finds, and DIY projects.
Our home office needed to be a
space that was functional
for my
hubby and me, that wouldn't encourage hoarding (I may have a slight problem with decor and craft supplies), and that blended both of our design styles.
Since the photo above was taken, Jennifer and her
hubby have made even more use of the
space by building a bookcase divider wall, that conceals a studio
for Jennifer behind it...
From one adoptive parent to another, hang on And find every resource that helps... not necessarily books (although the right one (s) can be game changers), but a cup of coffee while sitting silently by yourself first thing in the morning, a walk outside daily, date nite w / friends or your
hubby, having someone over to create a little mental
space for yourself.
So I'm striving to think of cleaning my own turf with that in mind: Praying
for my
hubby and our little boy... and also praying
for visitors / friends / family who come by — and remembering that when the door bell rings unexpectedly, I am a more relaxed «host» when we're sitting in a tidy
space!
Right now my biggest challenge is finding
space for items that aren't in season as well as
Hubby's tools.
Natural earthy tones will compliment the
space I'm renovating
for my
hubby & 4 kids, and also reminds me of my other love....
Hubby and I don't have the
space for one, but as soon as we do...
I would love
for this big
space for a big family,
for some good company, and
for some special times with
hubby, and kids.
And I would use the $ 100
for my laundry room, that I have avoided
for way too long,
hubby dear would really love

I have some ideas about how to create more

hubby hasn't implemented it
for me, yet, and I'm lousy with power tools!

I keep telling

for the most part, this
hubby follows the «happy wife, happy life» philosophy, letting the wife and I bring her dreams to life.
I love using my backyard as additional entertaining

for just me and the
hubby!
