In the largest
gallery space of the exhibition is a screen projecting a Japanese mask artisan making masks of James Bond, Anthony Blunt, Colonel Sanders, Joseph Hirshhorn, and others presumably to be used in a play.
A Gentle Collapsing II breaks boundaries between interior and exterior, public and private, natural and manmade, all of which are themes that continue in the
interior spaces of the exhibition.
Pae White's colourful cloud structures that hang over the double - height
space of the exhibition work particularly well with her collection of printed Vera Neumann textiles, themselves hung in rows across the full width of a room, like an intense market stall.
It's all there already, in the collision of lovely decoration and violent emotion, of ceramic pots, kitchen utensils and visual poetry: a woman's voice and work in the privileged
public space of an exhibition that commands the viewer's attention.
The
other spaces of the exhibition fall under the title of The [Absent] Museum, where the works offer a blueprint or suggestion for the type of art practice that could define the art - historical program of a future museum of contemporary art in Brussels.
The
primary space of the exhibition consisted of four separate works, each of which comprised a set of similar components: On the left stood a new, unmodified smeg - brand refrigerator, whose retro design features a sherbety color and Streamline Moderne curves, while to the right hung a trio of monochrome panels, each a different hue.
Previously, Marion was Director of Photos and Books at the retail giant Fnac within the department of Cultural Action, where she managed Photo Galleries Fnac — 20
spaces of exhibition throughout France.
While art historical references to minimalist artists such as Sol Lewitt and Fred Sandback are apparent in the first
gallery space of this exhibition, these allusions are softened Tuerlinckx's work also references Robert Rauschenberg's impulse to integrate art and life.

The viewer shifts from unacknowledged bystander to participant within
the space of the exhibition.
Modeled after a graffiti - covered structure in the English Gardens in Palermo, Sicily, which is itself a replica of the Crystal Palace built in Hyde Park, England to house the Great Exhibition of 1851, «Hall» will conjure up
the space of exhibition halls for World's Fairs throughout the ages, and the excitement they generated around cultural advancement and scientific progress.
Hege Loenne's untitled video recalls
the space of the exhibition where the work is presented.
For this reason, much of the work she has done has consisted in developing ideas and projects with artists to facilitate meetings points — whether these are in the form and
space of exhibitions, events or printed matter — for audiences to experience art in unconventional ways.
This refusal of a single perspective within
