An early

at their cozy and colorful apartment, albeit small in

Even if the setup of these two losers pitted over one goddess is a bit rote, when Reilly is given
space (and the Duplass Brothers are good

Watching Emily Blunt's kidnapping specialist Kate Macer be talked into volunteering to assist on some patently shady cross-border operation near the start of Sicario, I was oddly reminded of a similar
scene at the start of Aliens, where despite losing her entire crew in the previous installment, floating in
space for 57 years, and having her daughter die in the meantime, Ellen Ripley needs only around two minutes of convincing to return to the fray.
Then there is the unobtrusive cinematography by Sam Levy, which also has moments of fancy in overhead shots but can also keep a distance in movingly dramatic
scenes that allow the actors all the
space they need to perform, which may be a bonus about having an actress
at the helm of the film.
The Last Jedi also has perhaps the best lightsaber battles yet, some fan service that doesn't overly distract (Chewbacca has some very funny and fist - pumping
scenes, and Yoda even gets a good line and a fine cameo, too), a real emotional punch and
at least two epic
space battles.
