We eat
spaghetti with «meat sauce» (basically: cook an onion and some ground beef, drain, cook some garlic & red pepper flakes
in the leftover fat, add a jar or two of tomato sauce — we like Classico because it's not sweet — toss
in parmesan and Italian seasoning, and let it cook while you boil the
noodles) «smashed» chicken (what we call chicken that's been beaten flat with my rolling pin and then cooked
in the cast iron pan on really high heat), and homemade pizza pretty much every week.
In a separate
spaghetti cooker or stock pot, boil enough water to cook rice
noodles following package instructions.
I served it along side of some lightly buttered
spaghetti noodles (garlic salt and parsley flakes mixed
in) and a tossed green salad.
I had leftover
spaghetti sauce that needed a facelift, so I cooked my
noodles separately, stirred them
in, and then added the cheese ingredients.
Typically I use it
in place of
spaghetti noodles with meat sauce and my whole family loves it.

spaghetti or as a base for creamy alfredo sauce topped with sauteed mushrooms, onions and chicken.
Either way, I've been
in noodle houses
in Japan where it's good manners to suck your
noodles up
spaghetti - style, making as much noise as possible.
I made an utterly mouthwatering dinner today based on a recipe on The First Mess (
spaghetti squash
noodle bowl with lime peanut sauce), although I swopped out the squash for what I had
in the house (orange sweet potatoes and carrots).
In place of the
spaghetti, I used chinese
spaghetti noodles.
Today it stands
in for rice
noodles in this vegan
spaghetti squash pho.
Instead of lasagna
noodles, I used
spaghetti squash and mixed
in some of my Homemade Pizza Sauce, sautéed onions and mushrooms, and chopped kale.
Cooking
spaghetti squash is slightly more time consuming than zucchini
noodles, but unlike zucchini
noodles, the cooked
noodles save well
in the fridge and can easily be reheated and used throughout the week.
For salads like this I think smaller,
noodles are better than something like
spaghetti or linguine but
in a pinch any of it will work!
